Web Based installation

The installer will either be launched for you by the Windows Installer or you will need to access it manually. If you need to access it manually, for example after a manual install, launch your web browser and then browse to where you uploaded Paxsoft. e.g. if you uploaded to http://www.example.com/ then you would access the installer by going to http://www.example.com/install_Paxsoft.php.

1. Paxsoft will first ask you for your license key (unless you're installing on localhost. If you're installing locally then it will proceed automatically to step 2). This can be obtained by visiting the My Account page at www.Paxsoft.net, and clicking on the link to view the full license details.

2. When you click the Save Key button Paxsoft will then check to see if the typical Paxsoft tables exist in your database. If they do not then a new install is assumed. It will create all of the mySql tables that it needs, it will insert some sample data, it will create your property specific settings and it will make admin a super property manager.

3. When this is all done you are almost ready to use Paxsoft, but before you do that you should remove the file install_Paxsoft.php.

4. You can now go to your Explore administrators backend and view your Paxsoft installation. Don't forget to add Paxsoft to a menu so that you can view it from the front end, this is where most of your property management is performed.
