Installation of the Explore - Paxsoft complete package

There are two methods of installation you can use. Either the executable installer which runs on Windows, or you can use the manual installation method.

Whilst the instructions for installation are extensive, they generally fall into two stages:

1. Upload files to server and put them into the /administrator/components/com_Paxsoft and /components/com_Paxsoft directories.

2. Run install_Paxsoft.php to install/update your tables and insert the license key.

Uploading of files can be done in one of two ways:

• Windows Installer - The installer is an .exe Windows executable which runs on your local PC. The installer asks for a small number of details from you and then uploads all the Paxsoft files to your web server. Alternatively, it can also copy them to a local directory (experience so far demonstrates that you may need to do this if you are running a WAMP local server). Once uploaded/copied, the installer will launch your web browser and take you to the web based installer. 
• No installer package - This package is the Paxsoft files in their pre-executable build stage. It is made available for our non-windows users.

After choosing and performing your upload method (Windows Installer or Manual Installation) you will need to run install_Paxsoft.php whether you're installing or upgrading Paxsoft.
